Hot Rod Old School drift granddaddy!

Today I want to show you something different, not your highly modified Supra, or Skyline on steroids.

It is rather simple and old school Toyota Cresta GX71 with RB25DET engine swap.

This unit is nicely restored, in fact in Japan it has an official engine swap documents (which is usually not the case)!

Please note that THE car came off the assembly line in July 1986, and almost 24 years later it only has 56,900KM! That's ~2380km per year, UNBELIEVABLE!

Please enjoy the historic machine, it is in fact a classic! This car is from the exact times of AE86 hachi-roku. The 4 door drift monster :)

Body color: red candy (best color you could have on an old school 4door JDM)

Engine & Drive train: 

HCR33 Akira Makoto early RB25DET engine with 5 speed transmission,

OS Giken clutch, Oil Cooler, HPI turbo, Apex'i EVC

Rims: Front SSR mark Ⅱ 14 x 9JJ (A-type) & Tires: RE-01R 185/60-14 

Rear SSR mark Ⅱ 14 x 10.5JJ (B type) & Rires: 195/55-14 STRETCH!!!! 

Very Nicely Rolled fenders

RETROFIT! Panasonic CD / MD audio

Saito Rorugeji made four-point roll bar 

Total cost to retrofit is well over 60 thousand dollars

Every gasket and rubber hose has been replaced, it is surely a HOT ROD!

Interesting machine over here. This car looks like it came straight off my computer game. Extremely well personalized to a well presentable skyline on the street and on track. Grip would be unreal with this setup. 

Most likely getting suspension tuned up for track and then its a potential rord lap time. This is kind of unreal to think, that in Japan it is quite common encounter on the streets. Where as over here in Canada, Edmonton, namely our tuning scene is alright. Ok I lied, NOWHERE NEAR as developed as in Japan. 

Our roads are garbage, thanks to local extremely corrupt government, but that's another topic. We also do not have as many reputable and well experienced shops to perform setups like these.  Our younger population supports trucks. I see modified diesel trucks everywhere, just wish we didn't have such a stinky cold winter.

Here is a little something for you to think about: this car is legal in Canada in just a little over 3 years. How much will it cost then? 

Right now the price tag for this Christmas Present(if you purchase around time in 3 years, you'll get your present all legal on the road by snow melt!) is around 3-4 million yen. So something like 45k CAN(USD at par). In 3 year this monster will be going at around 3 million yen, I'd say. Big drop thanks to Japanese GT-R fans. Fans will try to get new R36 tuned. Anyhow, hold off your purchase IMO.

Here is a cool looking unit for you. Active D1 machine with rb26 swap. 
It also has numerous amounts of carbon fiber, including the roof. 
Other carbon parts are as follows: front bumper, front fenders, hood, doors, side skirts, rear fenders, trunk, rear bumper!!!  
K's FPR Factory specializes in fiber works of exterior and interior parts. They also do orders on ordinary cars. Stroking, boring, polishing, blah blah blah... You get the idea, these guys are real deal.

Interior parts such as dash is carbon. Extra weight isn't an issue any more. 
 This thing has seen a lot of work and money dumped into it.

Just a little side note, I personally owned one of the K's Factory cars, it is s13 with some mad power:
sr22, td06, 700cc injector, F-con Pro, Nismo fuel pump, reinforced and stitch welded body. There was minimal flex in the car at any time. To add fully built transmission and ATS 2-way most annoying LSD. To make things even worse for regular commute, tripple plate HKS clutch(DRAG) made shifting in only two modes ON/OFF, smooth shifting wasn't an option. It also had a nice massage from 272 degree cams.
But this thing, believe it or not, beat R1 Yamaha bike with 2 dudes in the back seat to add traction!

Today I am going to introduce to you GLOBAL AUTO JAPAN ( http://www.global-auto.ne.jp/ ).

Let me give you a little bit of a background. This dealership is specifically interesting! Its focused on very, sometimes even super very, modified JDM Street Legal cars!

Check it out, see if your dream car is on the list: Nissan, Toyota, Mazda, Subaru, Honda, Mitsubishi and a few other car makes can be found on their lot at the same time. I'd guess around 100+ cars on the lot at any given time. Average horsepower range is 400-500hp in each car. Another special characteristic of this dealership in huge interest of Skyline GT-R's, more than any other car.

I have NEVER seen a dealership in Japan that has SO MANY limited edition cars, R32 NISMO, R32 Spec V, Spec V II, you name it! Limited edition Tomei, Nismo, HKS, Greddy engine blocks! And some very rare Nismo blocks, only have 80 blocks in production. Don't be surprised to come across ex-demo cars on this lot.
